Rosewater: new beauty elixir

Just when woman thinks she found a perfect natural all-in-one product for all the beauty issues, another one pops into her sight. This happened to me and I truly started to believe coconut oil is a product I can use for …, well just about anything. But being a woman of curiosity I dug deeper and discovered there is another amazing product that is often forgotten. Did you know rose water is a great moisturizer with rejuvenating and soothing properties? It works as a facial cleanser, toner and moisturizer for all skin types in all ages. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and hence works as a natural antiseptic.

There are many ways how you can use rose water, but I like to use it as:

  • Face toner

Rose water reduces the surface oiliness of the face while also tightens pores and clear acnes. Regular use will also slow down the ageing process of your skin and add a wonderful glow to your look.

After you clean your face apply chilled rose water on your skin with a soft cotton ball. This inexpensive toner is also free of chemicals and alcohol.

  • Natural makeup remover

Simply apply rose water on a cotton pad and gently remove your makeup with it. Massage it on your face but don’t rub too harsh as you don’t want your skin to age too fast. If you add rose water to coconut oil, you get even better makeup remover that is also appropriate for the skin under and around your eyes.

  • Moisturizer

Rose water has tremendous benefits on dry skin. It has immediate soothing and softening effect and overall works as a great moisturizer.

Mixed with some glycerin rose water works as a soothing cream that can be used on a daily basis for youthful charm and sans-wrinkles skin.

  • Eye puffiness reducer

With anti-inflammatory effects rose water can reduce puffiness around your eyes. Just place rose water into the fridge for half an hour to cool it down, then soak cotton pad in it and place the cotton pad on your eyes for about ten minutes. This will sooth the tender skin around your eyes and result in less eye puffiness.

  • Morning wake-up routine

Refreshing rose water can make your mornings beautiful. You can instantly feel awake and refreshed when you splash rose water on your face the first thing when you wake up. The fresh liquid will bring liveliness to your face and the divine smell will make your mind go happy.

  • Refreshing mist

Don’t you just love the touch of rose water on your face first thing in the morning? Prolong this amazing feeling throughout the day by spraying rose water mist on your skin. This will freshen your skin and provide it with hydration, adding your look a needed glow and radiance. You can place a bottle in your bag and spray it each time you remember.

  • Light fragrance

Roses are key ingredients of so many fragrances that are so well scented just because of the smell of fresh petals. So why not using rose water as a fragrance. There are days when you don’t want to put heavy scents on your skin but still want to apply some perfume. On this occasions apply some rose water on your skin and treat yourself with a light scented natural perfume.

  • Hair rinse

Instead of using rose water as a fragrance, try rinsing your hair with it. Not only will they smell divine but will also have volume and shine. After you hair have been shampooed, rinse them thoroughly and then give them one last rinse with a mix of 2 tablespoons of rose water and cup of water.
